Update on DPS
Here is the updated version of my Double Page Spread, again getting feedback off my peers made me realise I had a lot of wasted space, therefore I decided to expand my article and create a fashion 'DOs and DON'Ts'. I felt something short and simple yet effective would relate to all ranges of my target audience and make them more eager to read more of my magazine. I kept my lined layout to keep uniqueness running throughout my magazine, and kept one image to really highlight my model. I prefer my DPS having more information on the page as it looks much more professional and readable.

Contents Page Update
When getting feedback from my peers it was suggested that I needed to clean up a lot of my white space on my contents page, therefore I decided to add an autumnal, greenery background to my page. I felt this looks a lot more professional and invites more of an audience to read and browse my contents page. Looking at the difference between my contents page before changing my background, I noticed having a colorful background makes my magazine look more professional and sophisticated rather than boring and basic. Furthermore, I decided to use only four images that linked to my four different sections of information, then adding a editors note to engage more with my audience. I feel adding an editors note relates more to my target audience as they will feel more involved and attached to my product.

Front Cover Update
Here is my update for my Front Cover, getting feedback allowed me to change and highlight certain information. For example using a different autumnal color to make specific words standing out. I used gold to make the words 'shadows' stand out to link to my dominant image and make the shadow of my model fit in my magazine more smoothly. Furthermore, I made my main headline larger to stand out from my sub-headlines. I feel this has much more improvements and fits better to my target audience now there is more color and organization.

Website Complete
Website
I have published my completed website with a Home page and two hyperlinked pages. I wanted my magazine to be simple yet effective so, excluding my dominant image on the home page, I have gone for a black and white colour scheme. I felt this worked well as it made my images stand out more and compliment my Autumnal theme for this edition of my website. I made sure to include 'Northern' slang to support my regional magazine and make it relatable to my regional audience, if I had more advanced and complex vocabulary I would lose my main audience views which are teenagers from the North East.

Time Management - Front Cover
I am really pleased with the amount of work I have completed today, I made sure to complete my front cover and with extra time tried out different background choices for my front cover.
Front Cover Completion
This my final product of my front cover. I am really pleased with my finished piece and believe it suits my genre and season well, linking colors and lexis to engage readers. I have all the normal and needed conventions on my front cover but have kept it as simple as possible.
Front Cover - Background choice
I played around with my background and tried to create a block coloured background using a light beige/brown color and removing the shadow from my model. When looking at it, I felt it looked off putting and boring, by bringing back my original background for my photo, I had to play around on photoshop to enable me to have both the shadow and my model being on top of my title. I feel this looks far more professional now and looks rather intriguing to the audience.

Target Update - 2016
Again this month I have completed all my targets and completed ones I didn't set as I was unsure I could complete them. I have finished my website, billboard and magazine pages as well as finishing extra research into my product. I am extremely pleased and I am hoping for feedback to improve my products.
Time Management - Starting Front Cover
With completing my billboard before my session ended, I have decided to start my front cover. Today I will choose the color for my title and which image to use that will work well for my front cover.
Completion of Billboard
This is my billboard, I was going for something that would stand out to my target audience and something that was different to other billboards I had seen. Therefore, I chose a distorted image with a colorful, autumnal style to it, to compliment my Autumn magazine edition. I feel the unique image relates well to my audience and somewhat displays a sense of originality. A billboard cover like this worked better than a plain and simple one as it catches the audiences attention and allows them to look at the detail. Moreover, it looks somewhat mysterious as it hasn't got a structured and organized look, therefore making the reader want to investigate more into my product. Furthermore, it shows a link between my website and billboard which makes it easier for the audience to identify my magazine.
Billboard update
One of the tools I have used when creating my billboard is the 'blur tool', this is situated on the left hand side. Looking at my image, I have used this tool on the right side of the image, you can tell the difference between the left and right side of my mode. The left side looks sharp and stands out too much from the background, whereas the right side has been blended nicely into the background so my model sits nicely against it.
The reason for using this tool is so that my image looks professional and sophisticated. If I didn't use this tool, my image would look too sharp against the background and look unprofessional.

Time Management - Billboard
Today I am going to start and complete my billboard, I'm hoping it won't take too long as I want it to look simple but effective with as little conventions used.
